Pioneer Press' offensive football first and second teams

Pioneer Press has come up with its list of outstanding football players that fill the 2013 first and second teams on the offense. See the list:

First team

Jack Penn

Sr. QB, Loyola: In his first season as a varsity starter, the 5-foot-11, 180-pounder guided the Ramblers to second place in Class 8A. Penn completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,220 yards and 23 TDs. He also ran for 602 yards and six TDs.

Chris James

Sr. RB, Notre Dame: The 5-10, 210-pound James — the Pioneer Press Offensive Football Player of the Year — ran onto the scene as a junior and solidified himself as a star this season. The Pitt recruit finished the 2013 season with 1,734 yards and 20 touchdowns in 11 games. James carried the Dons past Fremd in the first round of the Class 8A playoffs by running 32 times for 243 yards and scoring three times. 

Hub Cirmae

Sr. RB, Lake Forest: The 6-1, 194-pounder ran for 1,296 yards and 22 TDs and had 398 yards receiving and eight TDs for the Scouts, who finished 9-3 and advanced to the Class 6A quarterfinals.
