At Topaz Café, party season is in full swing! A popular appetizer for holiday parties here is our Prosciutto-wrapped Dates. They are an easy and tasty recipe to put together for your next holiday gathering at home.

What you'll need:

  • Medjool Dates (pitted)
  • Sliced Prosciutto
  • Any type of cheese that you like (we like Manchego or any type of Goat cheese – flavored ones are great too!)

The quantities of ingredients depend on the amount of appetizers you would like to make. Each Date, makes one appetizer and you need enough cheese and Prosciutto for each date.

Cube or portion cheese (in sizes small enough to stuff inside each Date). Slice a small slit along the side of the date and remove pit (if not already pitted). Stuff the cheese into the center of the date. Wrap with a slice of Prosciutto long-wise, covering the two ends of the date with the Prosciutto. Preheat oven 350 degrees, place dates on a cookie sheet and bake just until warmed. Do not overbake.
