Over the past couple of Hinsdale High School District 86 Board meetings, some members have touted the savings that will accrue to the district because of the added personnel in the central office.
OK, let’s say that is the case that savings will be realized with these changes. Since the district will realize the savings, then perhaps they will see fit to reconstitute the permanent substitutes at both buildings. Also, rather than making the proposed full-time equivalent cuts at both buildings, those savings can be put to work to retain the staff so that students are able to take every single course that they have signed up for within the past month.
