Top Hat Ball
Marklund will host its annual black-tie Top Hat Ball on Feb. 1 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown, 540 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago. Themed, “An African Adventure,” the event will allow guests to touch, feel and take pictures with live animals, and see African dancers, theatrical “monkey butlers and a bell and antler herd, and enjoy African-infused appetizers and drinks. The 19th annual Sweetheart Dinner Dance will be held Friday, Feb. 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 East Delaware Place, Chicago, to benefit The Children’s Medical Research Foundation. The Hinsdale Auxiliary of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago will hold its annual Tablescapes event 11 am.-2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Marriott Burr Ridge, 1200 Burr Ridge Pkwy, Burr Ridge. This year’s theme is “‘Life is a Story, A Journey from Cover to Cover.” Table designs will feature classic novels.
