The annual Geneva Lakes Boat Show is an opportunity to admire classic and vintage boats from all over the country, and for free! Presented by the Blackhawk Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, the show is held in the Abbey Resort's harbor.
The Abbey Resort harbor is less than an hour away from Milwaukee and Chicago's Northern suburbs. You can plan a weekend away on Geneva Lake, since the Abbey Resort is home to 334 luxury guest rooms with plenty of accommodating features for its guests.
Boat Show events kick off on Friday with the estate tour and lunch. Take the estate tour and visit three of the finest estates on Geneva Lake, while cruising along the lake in one of the featured boats. Lunch is provided at the Lake Geneva Country Club, one of the oldest 18-hole golf courses in the Midwest. Later on in the evening you can mix and mingle while enjoying an opening reception with cocktails and dinner.
The boat showings begin on Saturday, and are on display during the day on Saturday and Sunday, with a boat parade scheduled for Saturday. Boats range in all kinds of styles and sizes, with 2013 boat show entries including antique runabouts, canoes, classic cruisers, classic runabouts, classic utilities, and Streblows.
