Benton Harbor has experienced revitalization in its downtown culture thanks in large part to the New Territory Arts Association centered in the Arts District of the town. Throughout every season, the arts are flourishing in Benton Harbor, welcoming tourists and locals to enjoy a thriving center of town with excellent shopping, galleries and dining.

Art hops

Quarterly Art Hops take place in the Arts District every four months as galleries and businesses open their doors to the public to view local artwork, connect with business owners and meet new friends in the area. Every Art Hop is free and they become more popular with every passing season.

Film series

The third Thursday of every month is dedicated to an ongoing film series featuring films across a variety of genres with both new and old films shown on screen. Each event begins with a 7 p.m. BYOB social hour followed by an 8 p.m. screening and post-film discussion. This is an excellent opportunity for film lovers of all ages to participate in conversations about this wonderful art medium and see unique films and foreign releases that are not screened anywhere else.

Open stage

If you are a story teller, musician, poet, or comedian, you are encouraged to participate in the arts scene with 1st Monday Open Stage events. With a rotating cast of hosts, local artists are welcomed to come on stage and show their work to the community. Audiences are admitted to Open Stage for free at The Livery.
