Halloween will be celebrated with trick-or-treating from 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 in Burr Ridge. Little goblins and ghouls also can show off their costumes and get their share of sweet treats at the Burr Ridge Park District’s All Hallow’s Eve celebration, billed as a nonscary option for families.
From 6 to 8:30 p.m. children 18 months to 11 years, and their families, can enjoy hayrides, games, crafts, snacks and even a chance to see some real-life creepy critters thanks to a visit from the Traveling World of Reptiles.
Cost is $8 per child for residents, $12 for nonresidents, and $2 for all adults. Children under 18 months are admitted free.
Tickets can be purchased at the event, held at Harvester Park, 15W400 Harvester Drive. No registration is required.
In case of bad weather, events will be moved indoors.
